Wellbeing Wales Network E-Bulletin September 2009

Welcome to the Wellbeing Wales Network E-Bulletin

This month’s edition has a real international flavour to issues around wellbeing and societal progress.

The Wellbeing Wales Network is a Project Correspondent for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)’s Global Project on Measuring the Progress of Societies. The Global Project is organising the 3rd OECD World Forum in Busan, South Korea in October. Read here to find out more details about the Global Project and the Forum.

As interest in measuring and managing wellbeing in Wales continues to grow, the First Report of the Institute of Wellbeing in Canada has been added to the Resources page of the website as food for thought. It provides a snap shot on how different organisations in different countries are measuring societal progress and reporting that information back to decision makers and the general public. Read here to find out more.

Finally, closer to home, we’ve covered a personal story about Colin, an individual with a learning difficulty who has increased his own wellbeing with physical activity opportunities with the support of Venture Out Cardiff.
